Dr. Ernest Holmes was an American new thought writer, teacher and leader. He was the founder of a spiritual movement known as ‘Religious Science’ a part of the greater New thought movement, whose spiritual philosophy is known as “The Science of Mind”.
He was the author of ‘ The Science of mind ’ and numerous other metaphysical books and the founder of ‘Science of Mind Magazine’, in continuous publication since 1927. His books and the principles he taught have inspired and influenced many generations of metaphysical students and teachers.

S. Karminder Singh (June, 1940-May, 2007)
Our founder S. Karminder Singh was born on 16 June, 1940 in Patiala district of Punjab. His mother Sardarni Gurpartap Kaur was a warm hearted and affectionate woman. His father Colonal Gurnam Singh was a man of excellent qualities. Colonal Gurnam Singh was a very reputed social worker and leader of the area. He helped the poor and needy. S. Karminder Singh got primary education from the world famous School Lawrence School Sanawar. At that time he realized that the quality education is out of the range for a common man. At the age of 8 he saw a dream that he will open a school in rural area so that the children of rural area can get affordable education. S. Karminder Singh was very brilliant student with God gifted extra ordinary qualities. In 1960 he moved to America for higher education. He was very successful person and worked with H.P, American Express at very high positions. After retirement he became famous as a business guru. He was very convinced by the thoughts of Dr. Ernest Holmes who wrote a book ‘Science of mind’. S. Karminder Singh was a founder and director of center for spiritual growth, which was organized as a nonprofit corporation incorporate in 1994.In 2003 he visited India as being the part of 14 member delegate from Canada and America, the purpose of this delegation was to play a better role in the progress of Punjab. It was the time to give the shape in to the reality of his childhood dream to establish a school in the rural hub of Punjab so on dated Nov.14, 2003 he laid the foundation of Dr. Holmes Academy in village Jeeda. S. Karminder Singh was the person really we can say like a Paras. He motivated so many persons and helped them to be successful in society. He was a man with magnetic personality with very positive attitude and lived with full of self esteem means always lived in ‘Chardi Kala’. He was facing so many health challenges but never complained. He was a great learner, a teacher, a mentor, a great personality who changed so many people’s life. Dr. Holmes Academy is the reality of his dream and great vision. We salute our great founder.
It is my great pleasure to be the vehicle of great thoughts of our founder S. Karminder Singh to provide quality education and create the healthy environment for the students of rural area. Dr. Holmes Academy is more than just a school or an educational institution. It vibrates with the energy fields left by its founder Late S. Karminder Singh since 2005. His vibration is still alive. The right education will prepare you to be a good citizen. A person becomes perfect with education as he is not only gaining something from it, but also contributing to the growth of nation. The growth and future of our country highly depends upon the quality of the school education system. Here, at Dr. Holmes Academy, our respect for each individual is absolute.
