Dr. Holmes Academy is the dream project that germinated in the heart of S. Karminder Singh when he was a student of Lawrence School at Sanawar. S. Karminder Singh is the patron of Dr. Holmes Academy. He was born in Punjab and he felt that the children of rural areas were not receiving quality education. After going abroad the dream did not fade. The opportunity presented itself when the Government of Punjab invited a 40-member delegation from the U.S.A. and Canada. The purpose of that mission was to explore opportunities for investment for the development of the motherland. He chose Village Jeeda where the literacy rate was very low. Dr. Holmes Academy is an institution for the total development of the children on public school lines.
Dr.Holmes Academy has introduced the e-learning system in all classes from Pre-Primary to XII. The school has installed in each classroom a LCD projector, an interactive whiteboard, a green board, a U.P.S. and a P.C that is connected to a high-end dedicated server stationed at the Knowledge Centre.
